Happy Holidays!!!

Took Kaden to see Santa on Saturday (12/13) and as you can see he was not willing to let go of his monkey and he kind of has a cheesy face. We ended up taking like four pictures and eventually settled on this one. He was was just so excited to see Santa so he was showing off a bit and had that cute, look at me, or I'm up to no good look.

This is also the first year that Kaden really understands Santa and periodically may say "Christmas is coming to town" or "Santa is coming to town." He turns three on January 13th and we are amazed by some of the things he does at his age. Sometimes we forget that he is still in his two's. A few examples: telling us how to get to Meijers, complaining about the taste of medicine and suggesting we get the better stuff at the big "O" store (target) (the stuff he likes really comes from there), or random counting well into his teen's to name a few.

Kristy and I are not very decorative, but as we are still trying to get settled into our house we are starting to purchase more and more things to fill our home. After last Christmas, we purchased the Christmas tree below. I think its like 1o ft tall. I am big fan of real trees, but I just got sick of spending close to $100 for a tree, get it in the tree stand, put up the lights (I really hate that part), and dispose of it at the end of the year.

Happy Holidays.

Big Papa

Kaden and Big Papa had a very unique relationship. They communicated without words at times...lots of hugs and kisses. Big Papa adored his only great grandchild, as Kaden loved him with that innocent child love. Unfortunately, Kaden will have to remember him through pictures and memories. My grandpa is no longer in pain, as he passed away on Sunday, November 30th. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. As Kaden would say, "Big Papa's in heaven mama!"

Kaden couldn't get enough kisses from his big papa.

Who can resist that amazing smile? That will be the grandpa that I will remember forever. Don't let Kaden's look fool you...he's just playing hard to get!!!
Big Papa was always sharing his sugary snacks with his little buddy.
In loving memory....
Kristy
