Happy Holidays!!!

Took Kaden to see Santa on Saturday (12/13) and as you can see he was not willing to let go of his monkey and he kind of has a cheesy face. We ended up taking like four pictures and eventually settled on this one. He was was just so excited to see Santa so he was showing off a bit and had that cute, look at me, or I'm up to no good look.

This is also the first year that Kaden really understands Santa and periodically may say "Christmas is coming to town" or "Santa is coming to town." He turns three on January 13th and we are amazed by some of the things he does at his age. Sometimes we forget that he is still in his two's. A few examples: telling us how to get to Meijers, complaining about the taste of medicine and suggesting we get the better stuff at the big "O" store (target) (the stuff he likes really comes from there), or random counting well into his teen's to name a few.

Kristy and I are not very decorative, but as we are still trying to get settled into our house we are starting to purchase more and more things to fill our home. After last Christmas, we purchased the Christmas tree below. I think its like 1o ft tall. I am big fan of real trees, but I just got sick of spending close to $100 for a tree, get it in the tree stand, put up the lights (I really hate that part), and dispose of it at the end of the year.

Happy Holidays.

Big Papa

Kaden and Big Papa had a very unique relationship. They communicated without words at times...lots of hugs and kisses. Big Papa adored his only great grandchild, as Kaden loved him with that innocent child love. Unfortunately, Kaden will have to remember him through pictures and memories. My grandpa is no longer in pain, as he passed away on Sunday, November 30th. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. As Kaden would say, "Big Papa's in heaven mama!"

Kaden couldn't get enough kisses from his big papa.

Who can resist that amazing smile? That will be the grandpa that I will remember forever. Don't let Kaden's look fool you...he's just playing hard to get!!!
Big Papa was always sharing his sugary snacks with his little buddy.
In loving memory....
Kristy

Not Funny!

I once had some friends over at Studio K2 Photography (http://www.studiok2photography.com/) who thought they were pretty funny, but lets say I am now left questioning that relationship. What do you think? Pretty sexy huh? Not my preferred color of lipstick, but I didn't really have a choice in this disaster.

I have always told Karen and Kim (the photographers) I will get them back for this and one day I will. Maybe you can help? Any suggestions?

Say Cheese

For those that really know me you should be worried about my influences on Kaden. I have a strong feeling that I am creating a mini-me that is bound for destruction and besides calling some type of child protection agency, there is not much that anyone can do about it. As Kaden grows Kristy and I are intrigued to find out out which traits he picks up from myself and which ones her. Neither of us can sing, so we are not counting on him being a rock star. Maybe a star athlete though!!!

The two traits of popular discussion are whose dancing and photogenic abilities will he acquire. You will have to take my word for now, but I can't dance and really have no interest to get better at it. In efforts to keep this post clean I will not go into detail of Kristy's dancing abilities, but lets just say that she is good. In regards to photogenic traits I will let you choose for yourself. I think I win here, don't you agree?

Seriously, no need to be worried. He will turn out just fine, I promise.

Boo-Ya

Club Disney

This Haloween was just as enjoyable for Kaden as it was for Kristy and me. He was a hoot as he showed his funny/cute humor that people just love. We went trick-or-treating/beering around the neighborhood and stopped at about 15 houses or so. As you can see Kaden was Mickey Mouse and his girlfriend (Emma) was Minnie Mouse. At times Kaden had Emma carry his candy pumpkin or pull him in the wagon. What a gentlemen right? Here are some pics:

Happy Haloween!!!

I know this may not last long, but we thought we would attempt to set up a blog. We have so many pictures of Kaden that never get seen and this provides a good opportunity to show them and update everyone on how and what the Richardson's are up to. It may only last a week, but I hope it lasts longer. Furthermore, I hope to eventually add video and get a real family picture on here.

Last week week we carved a pumpkin with Kaden and also prepped a couple pumpkins for the neighborhood Drunkin Pumpkin bash. Here are some pics from both events.....enjoy.

Stay tuned for pics of Kaden in his costume!!!!

This pumpkin was the creation of our friend down the road (Brandon). He enjoys going out and getting the biggest pumpkin he can find. Actually there was one larger but it was like $100. He was told this one weighed 300#, but we feel like it was more around 200#. There were probably 30+ pumpkins that were carved and I have some pics of all of them lit, but taking pictures in the dark takes a lot of stability to get good pics. These are the best ones I have.
